Female Crab Spider - Misenuma vatia

Can be variable in colour from whitish-green, to bright yellow depending on the the spiders habitat in matching the colour of the flower its on. An ambush hunter and will sit and wait for its prey. Can be found on flower heads, among grass, scrub, woodland edges and gardens. Around 27 species of crab spiders in the UK and named after the spiders crab like appearance.
