Forging an Olympic Ring
The hammering out of the ring was so well done, although at this stage I hadn't realised the activity was leading up to one of the rings - there was so much activity to try and watch and understand - at this point I saw the rhythmic rising and falling of the hammers and just thought it was an example of metal being poured and then hammered into shape.
This whole industrial revolution set was the highlight within the show in the stadium for me, although the Bond/Queen clip on the screens and out of the helicopter was just hilarious - the television coverage missed it, but the stadium roared when it turned out in the Palace scene to be Herself, not an actor.
