The Fire Within

While I was photographing the beautiful view from Rampart Range Road near Woodland Park, Colorado there was lightning in the distant clouds behind me. The view in that direction lacked the magnificent mountains but it had its own beauty. From this spot.. I was already at the top of one of the smaller mountains of the Front Range. This was probably at around 10,000 feet close to two hours after sunset.
