White-Letter Hairstreak Butterfly (garden photo!). 27th-June-2015.
Once again this year, Im lucky enough to have these lovely little White-letter Hairstreak butterfies visit my back garden. It really is a privilege to see these little beauties land in various places in my garden (including my lawn, door/window ledge).
A rare garden butterfly species for sure ;- ) ...Although, i had to put in some serious hours of garden watching first!
This "fresh" specimen actually flew around me several times! before it landed on some wild long grass, which gave me a few moments to capture some close up images.
