Michelangelo has nothing to worry about... and I didn't shoot this one on my back...

I love shooting symbolic photography... Fingers become Petals...

 

Shooting Tips

Looks simply, but this one was very difficult to shoot... This one took me half of day to shoot... The first thing I did was to remove as much Stem as possible from the back of the sunflower. Then I place them on a "Light Box" to archive my pure white background and I use three florescent lamps... The next thing I had to do was to pull out the largest petal on the sunflower and position the petals so that they looked natural... I position the lamps on either side and one I hand held overhead…

It took two hours of shooting and downloading to see if I like the color and the position of the petals… After all, I saw two fingers and the image Sistine Chapel was my inspiration…

 

It’s not if I succeeded or not… it’s to try… it’s to venture… It’s to complete a task you have given yourself… it’s to not give up…

Do it with your heart… Do it with passion… Do it for yourself…
