Thawing Out-Lassen
Last week I headed up to Lassen after work in the north valley to check out some new waterfalls and explore Lassen some more. Big shout to Leon Turnbull for providing directions to places like this @ waterfallswest.com! This is one of the falls/cascades on the West Fork Hat Creek. There was still some significant snow on the trail and along all of the cascades to add some interest.
It was an interesting evening in Lassen...as I was hiking back to the car the earthquake in Greenville (not too far away) hit! I really want to spend some more time in Lassen...it is such an under-utilized park. The past few times I was up there, I felt as if I was the only human for 25+ miles.
