Phantom Falls
Table Mountain was a top destination for me after the huge rain last weekend. I hiked all the way to Flag Falls, hitting Phantom Falls on the way, and ended up back at hollow falls for sunset. I wanted to shoot Phantom at sunset, but wimped out (didn't want to walk back from here in the dark solo). On the way to Flag canyon, I spotted what looked like some fresh mountain lion tracks followed by a few dead cows….not sure if they were related in any way, but the sunset was not shaping up so well and I figured I would get closer to the car for the last light with all of that in mind! Many more images to come from this trip, but I wanted to start with the beautiful Phantom Falls, illuminated by the late diffused afternoon light coming through the breaking clouds.
