Dessert during the Garda holiday
We spent this year’s vacation along the coast of lake Garda, in the north of Italy. After the pizza, pasta, and good wine, it was time to spend some hours along the rail line running nearby for dessert. And which place would be more appropriate to go to than Dolcè? Dolcè is located along the freight corridor between Innsbruck and Verona. This beautiful section of the line runs through the vineyards, along the Adige river, with a constant background of tall mountains. On the pictures below I think we can distinguish Rocca Pia with a height of 1.051m. I got served many interesting trains within a timespan of 1,5 hours. The full set of pictures here.
On this picture we see an impressive combo of Lokomotion's EU43-003, 008 and 001 heading train 48867 from München to Verona Quadrante Europa. Dolcè, July 17, 2025.
