Red Duster Bulker
The Mariana (1998, 50,655 DWT) is a rare example of a bulk carrier flying a red ensign, albeit the Manx version. The vessel is owned by Masterbulk Pte Ltd of Singapore and chartered by Westfal-Larsen of Bergen, Norway so the Douglas registration appears to be only one of convenience.
The Mariana was hull no.969 from Namaura Shipbuilding of Japan and the vessel was delivered on the 18th November 1998 as the Saga Perfecture.
The vessel passes Portishead inbound with a cargo of foreset products for Portbury.
