On the 19th February 2026 the new build 'Echo Elisa' (2025, 3,775DWT) arrives at Teignmouth from Amsterdam with assistance from 'Teign C'.
The Hamburg-based shipping company Vega-Reederei has ordered ten 3,800 dwt diesel-electric coasters, designed by the Dutch ship design group Conoship International. Hull no. N2303 was built by Shanghai Hunan Industrial (Nantong) and delivered on the 20th October 2025.
Vega-Reederei were known for their large series of “Black Boxes” coasters in the 1980-1990’s, and the new class of ship represent a re-entry for the owner in the European short-sea coaster trade. The vessel was launched as 'Vega Elisa' but is chartered to Danish operator Echoship.
