On the 26th April 2017 the "Bert Prior" (1961, 289DWT) enters Deptford Creek at Greenwich enroute to Brewery Wharf. The vessel is carrying a cargo of concrete aggregates from Fingringhoe, Essex and is the last example of traditional coastal barge operations on the Thames. This creek use to be a very industrial including a large power station and mills. Today only one wharf remains and high rise development is taking over as per mmuch of the Capital.
