A Big One Worth a Night Shot
On the 20th November 2017 the On the 19th November 2017 the "Arklow Valley" (2016, 5,169DWT) is seen at Teignmouth discharging a cargo of wheat DDG from Teesside.
The "Arklow Valley" is the biggest vessel by deadweight to visit Teignmouth for many years and after a dull day the only option for a photograph was a night shot. What should be relatively easy was made difficult with a strong wind, a busy quay, a subject that moves and working cranes. I thought I had cracked it a few times but when I got home I realised there were lots of light streams from flying sea gulls. This one is probably best from the batch.
