BREDA DI PIAVE. STRADA DI CAMPAGNA.

A VOLTE RIUSCIAMO FERMARE IL TEMPO CONTEMPLANDO LA NATURA.

 

 

Bagnato dal fiume Piave, il territorio è caratterizzato dai bei colori della campagna veneta, dove il verde rigoglioso è il tratto dominante. Il terreno, ben alimentato dalle numerose falde freatiche, è in gran parte di origine paludosa.

Nell'antichissimo passato infatti il territorio era molto diverso e, dove ora si trovano case e campi coltivati, vi era una distesa di acque, facenti parte di una vasta laguna, che andava dal fiume Adige al fiume Isonzo e che separava la pianura dal mare Adriatico.

Il territorio, come avvenuto per tutti i comuni del Basso Piave, è stato oggetto nello scorso secolo di importanti opere di bonifica, con il pieno recupero di tutte le zone paludose.

SOMETIMES WE CAN STOP TIME BY CONTEMPLATING NATURE.

 

Bathed by the Piave River, the territory is characterized by the beautiful colors of the Veneto countryside, where lush green is the dominant feature. The land, well fed by numerous water tables, is largely of marshy origin.

In the ancient past, in fact, the territory was very different and, where there are now houses and cultivated fields, there was an expanse of water, part of a vast lagoon, which went from the Adige River to the Isonzo River and which separated the plain from the Adriatic Sea.

The territory, as happened for all the municipalities of the Lower Piave, has been the subject of important reclamation works in the last century, with the full recovery of all the marshy areas.
