201. NY Rangers Champion's Humidor (for Henrik Lundqvist)

I'm a lifelong Rangers fan. This humidor is dedicated to both the die-hard fans of New York as well as their beloved hockey team.
I wanted to design something with heart and intensity, something the Rangers need to beat the great LA Kings who can create "something out of nothing" as Henrik Lundqvist said last night after the 2-1 Rangers win. So that's my motto, to create something essentially out of nothing.
The heart of this design is inspired by the bigger than life Texan president LB Johnson and an Air Force one anecdote that he would hurl an overcooked steak at the plane window in fury. Other than that there are no political influences or affiliations here.
The humidor melds a Texan Longhorn with an enclosure of solid oak lined with cedar and steel for the interior compartments, all inside a large Presidential onboard Halliburton briefcase that can be taken on any charter team plane.
A steel-lined insulated drawer holds a cooked American victory T-bone steak dinner for the flight back to the next playoff game. This menu used to be the goalie Patrick Roy's victory meal. A cafeteria-styled plate in the drawer also has additional space for a baked potato, shrimp cocktail and a serving of chocolate mousse with Armagnac and crushed macadamia nuts. The drawer can also hold a raw steak to place over hockey bruises for the health conscious modern sports player opting instead for a high carb vegetarian dinner. The raw steak can be used and then hurled against the wall in a manly gesture of victory and defiance.
A bottom drawer is used similarly for slamming and has extra buffered space to insulate the cigars from excessive vibrations. This drawer holds about a half dozen 10-year old aged Joya de Nicaragua pyramides cigars (well-aged as they are very strong smokes) or the Nat Sherman New York brand of "Timeless" pyramides to celebrate hockey victories with.
A side compartment holds a wineglass, a bottle of red wine, a cutter, a box of extra long matches from Johnson's Air Force One, a pair of white gloves and a digital camera shaped like a replica in silver of the Stanley Cup to capture pictures off the tv screen that only a true hockey fan would find valuable.
All you now need is a tv screen, an order from the kitchen for the meal (dedicated to Lundqvist) and a team victory.
