Removed Cylinder Head
This is why I had to wire part of my exhaust to the exhaust port, as you can see there on the right where the 6mm stud fits is rather a large hole and the part of the head finning broken away. The bolt is just so it can be seen better and is an 8mm bolt. Of course the head is still usable and I have no doubt someone clever could repair it. I can't but am loath to throw it away even so.
As it happens I have a problem with the head I replaced this with as well, I think the valves are somehow seized in it so as I was silly enough to not check it properly I now have to take everything apart again and start again and either sort that head out or try another of my spare ones. Ah well, at least I have time to do that as I don't expect to use the bike again until September/October time.
