Cerulean Warbler (Setophaga cerulea)

This was a rather rare discovery back in 2016. Ceruleans usually nest fairly high up in the tree canopy. Cornell All about birds states 16 to 115 feet, so this was at the lowest level.

 

I did a rather poor job on the processing back then, so here is a repost. The exposure was pretty good, so this has only a quick run through Topaz denoise and small crop. I was using fill flash more often back then and believe it really helped this one by filling in the shadows in the tree cover.
