"I think the Brown Line is the most scenic," she said as the river twinkled below us and the skyscrapers twinkled ahead.
I told her about the T in Boston, about how in the summer you can see the little sailboats out in the harbor and the whole city behind them. "I don't know why I just thought of that," I said, even though I did, I just don't know why I said it out loud.
She says I talk so much because I'm a writer. Says it's better than awkward silence. Secretly, I think it's because I want her to know what she's in for besides she decides to stick around.
Later that night, we kissed for the first time and learned that she's a big spoon and I'm a little spoon. And that's got to count for something.
