Fooled

On holiday at the mo

It's summer so bugs are go

So I spy a 'never before seen'

From fifteen feet away, eyes so keen

Long legs, body Beetle shape

Classic bug in the landscape

Many a wonderful and weird

Has taken flight, disappeared

So ensued a careful stalk

Watch your step, so slowly walk

Pre zoomed camera, settings checked

Learn from all the shots you have wrecked

Took a photo from far away

May be the only one I say

Slowly, slowly move in watching the screen

and then, only a dead flower it's been.
