foreshadowing the future
....the posture, positioning, direction of stares.... i can't begin to describe how accurately this picture personifies their individual underlying emotions and momentary mindstate, especially Ashley's innocence and James' demons. Every element defines their personal realities and exposes their internal conflicts not to mention the correlations between them, and how those fragile ties will evolve, dissolve and switch.
Looking back, knowing what i know now, I want to say that i wasn't aware of the truth in the moment but i suppose i took it for that very reason, subconsciously i knew....
