The evening of July 16 provided another opportunity to observe beneath Ottawa's Bortle 7 skies, this time focusing on Messier 15, one of the densest and most concentrated globular clusters in the night sky. Observing conditions were mixed, with seeing rated at 3/5 and a smoky haze from regional forest fires hanging over the city. Although the sky remained largely clear, the haze softened the stars and reduced transparency, adding an extra challenge to an already demanding target.
