Piranha Sub Deployed
Last year when I took my first pass at the Thunderhawk, I made a tiny little Piranha just to photograph with the Thunderhawk, but it had no functionality at all. This week I finally took a pass at doing it for real.
I was expecting this build to be especially tough because not only does the sidecar need to be able to detach from the motorcycle, it also has to fit a minifigure without being too large, and my personal selection of Dark Purple pieces is pretty limited. Without exaggeration, this build represents more than half of the Dark Purple in my collection.
But despite those hurdles – or perhaps because of them – the whole thing came together pretty quick. And I think it does a reasonable job of representing the original toy.
Next up (when I can find the time) Jackhammer and Switchblade!
