Devil's Causeway, Hartburn, Northumberland
This "hollow way" follows the track of the "Devil's Causeway", the Roman road that ran from just north of Corbridge to Tweedmouth. The photograph shows the track just south of where it crosses the Hart Burn, a tributary of the river Wansbeck, at Hartburn village.
