SPLA-UN signed agreement, renewed child protection their commitment. This Action Plan signed on March 12, 2012 by the Ministry of Defence, UNMISS, UNICEF and Special Representative of the Secretary-General (SRSG) for Children and Armed Conflict, Redhika Coomaraswamy. “This is an important day for South Sudan, not only does this Action Plan ensure the government’s commitment that SPLAN will have no children within its ranks but all armed groups who have accepted amnesty with government, must release their children,” said SRSG. “Future generations of children ca spend their childhood with books and barracks,” she stressed during signing ceremony.
