Point Iroquois LIghthouse.
Built in 1870 to replace the first light station that was constructed in 1856, Point Iroquois Lighthouse stands at the point where the western end of the St. Marys River connects to Whitefish Bay. Whenever I visit here, the lighting always seems to give me fits and this day was no different. A fog was blowing off of the river and the light was changing constantly. Meanwhile if you went two miles south there was bright sunshine. A patch of fog muted the sun as I took this while in the background there is blue sky and fog at the river level.
