"Algebra Man"

I hate painting clothes, and cloth wrinkles, so I had my friend Joe model shirtless for me. I was doing a series of paintings at the time with hearts so I put a heart emerging from his chest.

 

I got so tired of paiting hearts, I made this the last one.

 

I think of this piece as vulnerability, personally, a charactertrait that I find the most relatable and mostly beautiful. But people can see what they see in this piece and interpret for themselves.
