Brand new "Max" branded double decker seen in Guisborough on Summer 2015 season, X93.
Six of these Volvo's B9TL's were bought from dealer stock and are among the last B9TL's made by Volvo.
They replaced six ex-London B7TL's used on this difficult and long route. However after seeing temporary use at Jesmond depot four B7TL's have transferred back to Whitby/Redcar depot, 7485/6/7 are being used as the extra buses needed for the more frequent Summer, X93 timetable.
B7TL, 7489 is seeing use on Whitby Park n Ride.
I think the last time I saw new double deckers in Guisborough it was in the early 80's with United.
I never imagined even only a few months ago that we would ever see new double deckers in Guisborough or in Redcar and Cleveland again.
