When my boyfriend and I both decided to study abroad in Scotland this fall, some friends questioned whether we would be able to have individually enriching experiences, or if we would be pressured to be together all the time. Scotland was my opportunity to see the world outside of the southern United States for the very first time. Having already traveled to over 33 countries, my boyfriend Paul had preconceived ideas about the places we visited. However, by experiencing the world together, we were both able to learn from each other and our environment in an unexpected way. I am so thankful to have had my favorite travel partner with me during my study abroad experience. This picture accurately depicts how we supported each other while studying abroad, amongst the vibrant Scottish landscape and its natural beauty.
