wearing the boots

I replaced my shoe laces with ribbon. Also, I did not glitter the tongue because I think the rubbing would just take the glitter right off. I painted it with the textile paint then covered the tongue with fabric that coordinated. In this case, my wedding dress fabric. I actually had to widen the tongue, so I sewed mine, but you could easily just use wonder under and fuse the fabric directly to the tongue of the shoe.
