Average Value of U.S. Farm Buildings, 1920

Data sourced from the ever-useful Historical Census Browser and processed with OpenOffice Calc. I regret choosing black as my "$4,000 – $4,999" color.

In 1920, the country's most valuable farm buildings existed in the Upper Midwest and Delaware Valley; the least valuable, unsurprisingly, stood in the South.

Leslie County, Kentucky, contained the "worst" structures (with the average farm's buildings worth a mere $213), whereas Nassau County, New York, contained the "best" (its average being $13,442).
