Cold

Unlike other soldiers who had been drafted into the ranks of the Overwatch, I had joined willinly. I knew that someone had to defend the people of our village. I am what they call a "gaurdian". This basically means I get to sit on the outskirts of town and keep an eye on the old roads. Although the hours are long and it is very cold out, I know that I am the only thing that stands between the village and the outside horrers. Today I was told I would be switching posts. Apperantly, one of our more important "gaurdians" froze to death, and I would be taking his place.

When I arrived at my new watch post, I realized how someone could freeze to death up here. This post was high upon a mountain, which meant that the temperature dropped significantly. Luckily I packed some extra kindling for my fire, just in case. From the looks of it, I'll spend the rest of my afternoon shoveling out the camp.
