Sant'Ambrogio, Milan, Italy

Built in the fourth century, the Basilica of Sant'Ambrogio was originally known as the Basilica Martyrum. St. Ambrose designed the church for his burial, but later deposited the remains of the Milanese martyrs Protasius and Gervasius here. The atrium seen here was built in the 11th century.
