Throwback Thursday (529)
This week we are going back thirty-three years to 1993, and to KD 128 on O'Connell Street with a service on route 22A to Drimnagh.
Route 22A started running between Cabra West and Drimnagh. In 1984 the southern terminus was Errigal Gardens, but in 1985 it reached its final terminus on Drimnagh Road. In October 1993, City Imp route 120 started between the city centre and Cabra, which resulted in the 22A running only between Parnell Square and Drimnagh Road. Route 22A was replaced by new City Imp route 121 in December 1997. In its final form the 22A had reverted to a cross-city route, running from Ashington to Drimnagh Road.
KD 128 was new to CIE in 1982. This bus withdrawn by Dublin Bus in early-1999.
