A Special Update to the KOM League Flash Report
of
June 22, 2018
In most cases the obituary I’m sharing would have been held over until the publishing of the next Flash Report. However, in the one released yesterday there was a photo of some of the early season pitchers for the 1951 Miami, Oklahoma Eagles. A comment was made that to the “best of my knowledge” that only George Garrison and Roger Fulton remained from that team. To show how knowledge changes, very rapidly, I’m submitting this update.
Shortly after releasing that report I looked on the Internet for information on the surviving members of that Miami team and was shocked to learn that just eight days following the death of Kenneth Campbell his former teammate, Roger Fulton, passed away.
For those who might have an interest I refer you to this site: www.shoshonefuneralservice.com/notices/Roger-Fulton/
Upon pulling up the site you will see a photo of Fulton along with his obituary. On that site is a photo gallery containing 49 images, at least. After seeing those photos of the different stages of his life I sent along the photo that was contained in yesterday’s Flash Report for there were none of him in a baseball uniform among the 49 listed. I found those photos to be very moving and I trust some of you will go there to witness the life of Roger Lloyd Fulton from near the beginning, to the end.
Roger Lloyd Fulton
Beloved father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother and former Mayor Roger Lloyd Fulton, 86, of Kellogg, Idaho, passed away April 23, 2018 at Mountain Valley of Cascadia of Kellogg. He was born August 28, 1931 in Lead, South Dakota; Roger was the son of Earl and Leone (Orr) Fulton.

In earlier years, Roger played professional baseball in Oklahoma City. He had also served as Mayor of the City of Kellogg for twelve years. While residing in Lewiston, Roger had served as Green Superintendent for the Lewiston Country Club.
Roger was a member of the Moose Lodge of Clarkston, Washington and a member of the Kellogg Elks Lodge #1841.
Roger loved and enjoyed his family, golfing, fishing and hunting.
