So Delicate
I combined 2 very effective special effects to create a fantasy dreamlike world. I covered the lens with a thin flexible sheet of transparent plastic slightly dull in clarity. This would create the "diffusion." I then cut a small hole the size of a dime in the center of the plastic. This will create the "vignette." I then centered the cut hole in the center of the lens and held it in place with a rubber band around the lens barrel. Focusing is critical. The main object must be completely sharp dead center, thus causing the rest of the subject to become diffused along with the vignette effect. For a total diffusion effect, omit cutting a hole in the plastic
This effect can be applied to any subject, especially effective for portrait shooting of people, animals. flowers and landscape scenery.
