Watching over her
While driving along the causeway in Long Point a friend of mine and I spotted a pair of Sandhill Crane in the creek by the roadside. We parked the car in the viewing area and walked back to where the cranes were. As soon as we arrived one started dancing, his partner totally ignored him and continued foraging. After a while they settled in this pose. They are mated for life, so it was marvelous to see this adorable pair in this pose.
