Not that I was necessarily expecting more than a light power move, these two CP units hustle back to Thief River Falls after moving a handful of gondolas in maintenance service up to Lake Bronson where CPKC track crews will load them with used ties and other track materials. The train is passing milepost 318 - that is 318 miles from the Shoreham Yard in northeast Minneapolis. I appreciate how the milepost sign is mounted on an old telegraph pole that once carried the code line wires up the old Soo Line. It is one of the few minor pieces of Soo Line evidence that continues to survive.
