Barcelona's Eixample

This was the neighborhood church a few blocks from our hotel. Ho hum. It's probably old or something. Seriously, we looked at a lot of churches, because they are everywhere in Europe and even the pedestrian ones are awe-inspiring. Via the churches, you can tell how old these cities are and how important religion's role was in the lives of Europeans. For centuries, Barcelona wasn't ruled by a political system; it was ruled by the Catholic Church.
