WILDLIFE UNDER THREAT
This photograph depicts, the true state of the world's wildlife. That day, while standing in my balcony, I saw this little squirrel hopping over a fence lined with sharp shattered pieces of glass (to keep away intruders). All the while the squirrel stood on the broken glass, I held my breath and prayed and prayed that it might reach the other side safely. It was a relief finally, when it was successful.
The photograph left a very deep mark on me as a direct representation, without exaggeration of any kind, of the state of wildlife and nature as a whole subject to the irrational treatment by mankind. Due to the over exploitation of the resources and rising population, we have now reached a juncture where we have forced wild animals to walk on a path full of shattered glass pieces and they do not know that extinction lays in store for them in future, if we continue our practices.
This photo reminds us, that the time has come when we should start harmonizing again with Mother nature, so that the stones in her path are converted into soft flowers, for our generations to enjoy.
