Daphne Havelberg has been a member of the Port Augusta Writers since 2006. She gets her inspiration for writing from everyday events as a way of making connection with life and motivating others. Daphne very down to earth and like to see the funny side of all things.
Daphne does volunteer work the Our House Mental Health Facility where she teaches creative writing and painting. She also 'plays' the washboard to entertain the elderly with folk songs in the band Just for Fun where the groups recite their poetry.
Daphne is famous for her Dame Edna impersonations and her antics when she would dress up every years as the Easter Bunny.
