[Dated 19th-century ms. ownership inscription of Philipp Saxer (b. Sarmenstorf 1800, d. Zurzach 1868), who studied theology from 1815-1822 in Lucerne and from 1822-1824 in Landshut. He was ordained a Catholic priest in 1825 and served in various parishes, ultimately becoming a canon of St. Verena's in Zurzach. Cf. his entry in F.
