BBB on lavendar
This is one of our few remaining Blue-banded bees for this season. We had up to 50 of them roosting at night in January 2018 but now there are only 3 left with the approach of winter. Sometimes one or two will live through to the end of June, and then I have to wait until mid-October to see the next newly emerged generation.
This BBB was feeding on a lavendar plant in a pot which I bought that very morning.
