Common Brown Butterfly

This male Common Brown Butterfly was seen during O'Reilly's 38th Annual Bird Week on one of our early morning walks on a bluff near Luke's Farm in Lamington National Park.

This butterfly is found in a wide range of habitats including grassy woodland, open forest, forested slopes of ranges, river banks, suburban gardens. It's usual range is south east Queensland, eastern half of New South Wales, Victoria and southeast corner of South Australia..

The larvae feed on native grasses.
