There are a lot of takes on this photo. Quite frankly, I can't even settle with a solid interpretation nor meaning of why I created this photo. I get all jumbled up when trying to settle on one explanation. This photo consists of myself staring into a mirror, but the mirrored version is not the exact same expression I show it. Returning the reflection is a different version of me, somewhat making fun of myself. This reflection is symbolic. A symbol of what we are faced with, dealing with what others think, what others say say, and what they do to us. When negative, some can deal with it by pushing it aside, but others may become consumed and enveloped by this negativity. As an individual, one must not give in, one must not lower oneself. It is of one's consent, the individual has the ability to let others make him or herself feel inferior or not. One must not give in. One must remain strong, confident, and avoid putting oneself down as much as possible.
