Class of 2010
This is an A-level Art & Design exam final piece for my chosen theme "Space Age". Making my own mould of a Star Wars Clone Trooper Helm, I made plaster-casts of these Star Wars Helms painting them with the colours of different flags reprsenting everyone in my art class. I was much influenced by the clone troopers of Star Wars and the Terracotta Army, looking at the idea of non-identity amongst these group of soldiers that looked very much the same. I wanted to add my twist to the different coloured helms of the troopers representing ranking in the army, and instead show identity of people as individuals.
