still life, which the French call "nature morte" or dead nature, I prefer it en Anglais, inspired by a painting c. 1946 by G. Severini, as I have said before, despite my affection for Picasso, Braque and Matisse, if one examines the record, there were a lot of other painters turning in equally impressive results, to my mind ... does this speak of the power of the media to create celebrities, perhaps undeservedly?
