ROCKET BURNER
First Rocket Burner made, based on the tin can ( baked bean tins have been used)
First burns where done with nothing but air around the chamber, then with sand, need to get some Vermiculite to insulate it properly.
Smoke is from start up and run down burning, when running properly there is no smoke, when running it roars, and the heat is really really good,
This one will be in the Garden when we do BBQ's, frying pan on top.. coffee pot, beans .. whatever needs heating in a pan can go on this.
Sand being an absorber of heat, the outside stayed really warm in 4'c ambient temps for around 2 hours. So filling with sand if you was camping, and you have a tent warmer.
Some campers and woodsmen use the baked bean tin ones inside the tents.. i'd be a bit worried doing this but as they dont smoke, they warm and cook on them, loads of video's on Youtube
