Probably dates back to the 50's. The motel is still open and scrapes in with a 1 star rating. The sign once said HBO Phones. Weekly Rates. I didn't go in to inquire.
I imagine back in the day this was a very popular and busy motel.
Not sure if the sign is still lit but I do like it.
