Valles Caldera

A volcanic eruption one million years ago in New Mexico ' s Jemez Mountains formed this unique landscape. One of seven super volcanoes in the world. Valles Caldera has a land area of 89,216 acres (139.400 sq miles). A wide volcanic caldera in the Jemez Mountains of northern New Mexico. Hot springs, streams, fumaroles, natural gas seeps and volcanic domes dot the caldera floor landscape. I have never quite worked out how to capture the beauty and diversity of this incredible landscape. I guess you'll just have to visit and see it for yourselves :)
