Careful Analysis
Earlier today we had a visit from James Boudreau of the Canadian Conservation Institute. He was in Annapolis Royal to undertake an examination of the painted room on the second floor of the 301 year old Sinclair Inn Museum. This large room, which is currently inaccessible to the public, has a mural painted on all four walls. Unfortunately the mural is covered by at least two layers of wallpaper and is in otherwise poor condition. Results of this examination will help us to plan for conservation and potential display of this room. In this image Mr Boudreau is taking tiny paint samples which will be brought to Ottawa for analysis.
