G. Hopkins & Sons Ltd Compressor, Old Brewery, Tadcaster.
It's great when industries don't sell on or dismantle out of use equipment and simply lock the door and walk away. Very surprised the lights still worked in the little compressor room. A lot of people would probably be mistaken thinking they've found a steam engine, it is in fact reverse engineered. An electric motor runs the flywheel with the piston pumping air into the air tanks building up compression. The Compressor dates back to 1921 and comes from the G.Hopkins & Sons Refrigeration Engineers, London.
